Monitoring the Safety of Journalists Around the Globe

The Committee to Protect Journalists is one of the most important organizations you've never heard of. It's time that changed.

"The data they collect helps us understand what's happening to journalists around the globe. It's how we know where the hot spots are."

CPJ generates thousands of pages of documentation, reports, and analysis on press freedom. As a result, they have become the de-facto source for credible data about aggression and violence towards the press for news organizations across the globe.

Writing all these reports and storing the data is one thing. Generate useful insights and identifying trends is another.

We helped CPJ get years of data into a common database where they could trace the history of individual journalists, monitor trends across countries and regions, and create detailed reports for the news outlets that rely on them.
